China Certification Requirements

CCC mark

CCC (China Compulsory Certification):

- Mandatory certification.

- Standards: China GB Standards

- Regulated products: 22 categories,157 products (such as IT, Telecom, Audio/Video, Household, Lighting products)

- Testing: Electrical and mechanical Safety and/or EMC test.

- Validity: 5 years

- CB Report: CB report is accepted for safety part

- Factory inspection: Initial inspection (1^st time), and annual follow-up inspection.

CQC mark

CQC (China Quality Certification):

- Voluntary certification

- Standards: China GB Standards

- Products: More than 500 products

-Testing: Electrical and mechanical safety, EMC, energy saving and functional evaluation, etc.

- Annually factory inspection

- Components with CQC mark can be accepted by CCC.

- Expiration: Depends on products.

- Certification process is similar to above CCC

CMII ID Certificate

China SRRC Radio Type Approval Certification

- Standards: Administration of Low Power Radio Equipment (SRD)

- Regulated products: Most radio transmission equipment. Mandatory for products with radio functions (WiFi, Bluetooth, Radar, GSM, CDMA, Microwave equipment, etc.)

- Testing: Frequency range, frequency tolerance, transmitting power, occupied bandwidth and spurious emission limits.

- Each model should apply for the certification

- Factory inspection: No inspection required

- 1 to 5 years expiration, can apply to renew

- Mark: No formal mark required, but certificate number (CMII ID) must appear on the products.

NAL label 

China NAL (Network Access License) Approval

- Mandatory for telecommunication devices

- Standards: Measures for the Administration of Energy Efficiency Labels

- Regulated products: Three types of product:

1.       Communication terminal product

2.       Radio communication product

3.       Network inter-connection product

- Testing: Electrical safety, functionality, protocol, information security, performance, etc.

- Factory inspection: No inspection required

- Application for renew the certification should be 3 months before the expiration date.

China Energy Label

China Energy Label

- Standards: Measures for the Administration of Energy Efficiency Labels

- Regulated products: 15 products, such as PC monitors, copy machines, air conditioners, water heaters, induction cookers, refrigerators, washing machines, etc.

- Testing: Energy Efficiency tests.

- Factory inspection: No inspection required.

China Ex Certificate

China CCC Explosion Certification

- Mandatory certification for the products using in Hazardous locations (HazLoc).

- Product catalog: Explosion-proof types according to CNCA-C23-01:2019

- Products can be certified based on existing ATEx or IECEx Test report. Samples maybe required for verification.

- Manual: Simplified Chinese

- Testing: by CNAS accredited labs.
